Out of Commission

My adventures today took me on an undiscovered road (at least by me) to this bridge on Cunningham Road.   Unfortunately, I was unable to cross it in my car, as the bridge is closed (it is tragically slated to be demolished this year). Structurally, it is one of those bridges I was always terrified of as a kid to cross as you can see right through it to the water below. But now, I believe it is absolutely awesome and very fascinating.  After some searching on the web, the names of the men on the plaque belong to the commissioners of Adams County who were all in office at the same time in 1895.  Further research has shown that this is an extremely rare bridge, in part because of its structural design and another due to its age (pre 1900).  The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and if what I have seen is true, will not be around much longer.  Read more about the bridge by copying and pasting the following link:
