Iron Springs Road is best known, maybe, for it’s association with the Tapeworm Railroad.  This is the viaduct that was built for the railroad.  I took several shots, standing in the middle of the road, off to the side, to try and capture some of the story involved.  I liked this one especially because of the van that waited patiently on the other side while I composed the shot (despite my attempts to wave them through) but really because of the tree that seems to be emerging from the cinder blocks above the 11’9 sign.  Researching the railroad was actually fascinating as well, (and will be a subject of future compositions) as I continue to learn more about the history in this area.  Jan 23, 2011
